As conversations about money and investing become more common on social media, many teens are exposed to the stock market long before they understand how investing works. At Diapers 2 Deposits, we believe financial literacy for teens should begin with education, practice, and guidance, before real money and real risk are involved.
That belief led to the creation of the D2D Investor's Club for Teens, a structured learning experience designed to introduce teens to investing concepts in an age-appropriate, supportive environment.
What is the Investors’ Club for Teens?
The Investor's Club for Teens is a live, online financial literacy program for teens ages 10–17. The program introduces the fundamentals of investing through guided discussion, hands-on learning, and market simulation; all without risking their money.
Students learn:
How the stock market works
How to research companies
How to understand risk and long-term investing
How investing fits into a broader financial picture that includes saving and budgeting
Participants use a simulated $25,000 investment portfolio to explore decision-making and track performance in a low-risk environment. Each session lasts 30 minutes and combines conversation with interactive practice.
The Investor's Club for Teens is designed for beginners and curious learners alike. Students participate in small-group sessions and select one weekly meeting time that fits their schedules.
Why Financial Literacy for Teens Requires Ongoing Support
While live sessions are an important part of financial education, financial literacy is not a one-time lesson. Teens continue to encounter financial concepts—credit, investing, income, and saving—well beyond a single workshop.
Parents often ask how to support their child’s learning after a program ends, especially when new questions arise. That’s why Diapers 2 Deposits focuses on ongoing financial education, not just stand-alone sessions.
How Diapers 2 Deposits Uses Skool to Support Financial Education Beyond the Program
To provide continued learning and reinforcement, Diapers 2 Deposits joined the Skool platform to support participants after live programming concludes.
Through Skool, students who participate in D2D programs and gain access to a moderated learning community where they can:
Revisit financial literacy concepts
Participate in guided discussions
Ask questions as they encounter new financial topics
Strengthen understanding over time
Skool extends D2D’s financial literacy programs, helping teens build confidence and retain what they’ve learned as they grow.
A Financial Literacy Continuum for Teens and Families
At Diapers 2 Deposits, we view financial education for teens as a continuum: foundational knowledge, reinforced through practice, and supported by ongoing engagement. The Investors’ Club for Teens and the D2D presence on Skool work together to create a learning experience that emphasizes:
Financial decision-making
Confidence-building
Responsible money habits
Long-term thinking
By combining live instruction with continued support, Diapers 2 Deposits helps teens develop practical financial skills they can apply well beyond the classroom.
