Financial Literacy Tools & Simulators
Diapers 2 Deposits builds free, hands-on tools that let students practice real-money decisions before the stakes are high. Each simulator pairs with a module in the Rising Workbook; generate your numbers here, then carry them straight into your lessons.
The Paystub & W-4 Tool:
Choose a target career and home state, pick a filing status, and the Paystub Tool generates a realistic pay stub, gross wages, federal and state income tax, Social Security, Medicare, retirement contributions, and net take-home pay. Its built-in W-4 panel lets you switch between Single, Married Filing Jointly, and Head of Household, add dependents, or try "Exempt," and watch your federal withholding change live. Pairs with Module 2 (The Paperwork) and Module 3 (Paycheck & Stipend Tracker).
The Credit Score Simulator:
See how a credit score is actually built. The Credit Score Simulator scores your choices across the five FICO factors — payment history, credit utilization, length of history, credit mix, and new inquiries — then lets you stress-test real scenarios like a 30-day late payment, a maxed-out card, or an account sent to collections, and watch your score respond in real time. Pairs with Module 5 (The Credit Lab).
The Credit Card Statement Tool:
Generate a sample credit card statement and learn the one habit that makes interest optional: paying the full balance inside the grace period. Explore APR, minimum payments, credit limits, and a benefits panel that audits cash back, travel rewards, and statement credits, so a card becomes a tool you use, not a trap you fall into. Pairs with Module 5 (Credit Cards & Benefits Audit).
The Investor's Club Simulator:
Research real companies you already buy from, build a practice portfolio, and place trades using real closing prices — no real money at risk. Track market events, apply the Rule of 72 to see when your money doubles, and analyze your gains and losses like an investor. Join your class with a Game Code from your instructor. Pairs with Module 7 (The Investor's Club).
All four tools are free and browser-based, built to be used in class or at home. New to the program?
