A Note from Our CEO
Welcome, and thank you for being here. I’m the Founder and CEO of Diapers 2 Deposits, Inc., a financial literacy organization serving youth, families, schools, and community partners across Washington, D.C., Maryland, New York City, and expanding regions nationwide.
As a co-parenting mother, former public school educator, and former homeschooling parent, teaching has always been central to my life. I began teaching my son about money at just three years old—long before traditional financial education ever entered the classroom. By the time he could reach the ATM, he understood PINs, withdrawals, and the responsibility that comes with money. That early experience shaped a core belief that guides our work today: financial literacy should begin early, and understanding credit makes interest optional.
I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a Department of Defense contractor, teaching personal financial management to service members. Whether working with military personnel, students, or families, I’ve seen how transformative financial education can be when it is practical, culturally responsive, and rooted in real-world decision-making.
I founded Diapers 2 Deposits to challenge the idea that budgeting alone is enough. Too often, young people are taught how to manage money after damage has already been done. We focus on helping youth understand credit, avoid high-interest debt, and make informed financial decisions before costly mistakes occur.
Coming from humble beginnings myself, I believe deeply in meeting people where they are. Our curriculum is intentionally designed to reflect the lived experiences of the communities we serve—because when students see themselves in the lesson, they engage, ask questions, and leave empowered.
Whether you are a parent, educator, school partner, nonprofit organization, community leader, or student, thank you for being part of this journey toward financial confidence and economic freedom.
With gratitude,
Whitney Ramirez
